Itinerary/transport for osaka, kyoto, nagoya 2018/3/20 14:05
We are family of 7 adults and 2 children arriving Osaka airport 23/1, leaving 2/12 from Osaka.
Pls propose itinerary for Kyoto, Osaka Nagoya. We propose to spend 2-3 nites in Kyoto, 1-2 nites in Osaka and rest of the trip in Nagoya where we would like to cover Magome, Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (whether right season) , Shirikawago, Takayama, Gujo city, Nabano no Sato, Nagashime. Please advise whether the Nagoya areas can be fitted into this itinerary and also the towns where we can cover during this duration. We would also appreciate if you can advise on best transport for the trip between the cities.
Thank you

You are going to travel in January/February which means that central Japan, is most of the destinations you list for Nagoya (some arenft really close to Nagoya) are going to be covered in snow. Definitely Takayama and Shirakawa is doable and special with snow, but be prepared. Kurobe alpine route is closed until mid April.

For the rest of your itinerary try out a guidebook or this webpage to plan the trip. If you then have specific questions feel free to come back here.

Enjoy planning your trip to Japan!

Well in late November , early December it is less likely to find snow. And Kurobe Alpine route is open until End november: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e7550.html

So if you time it correctly you should be able to see some koyo.

The Alpine Route isn't a day trip from Nagoya, so its open status is moot. Omit that location and concentrate on the others.
