Hi, This is my second visit to Japan. I have two weeks. i'm planning to stay at Tokyo both at the begining and the end of the trip. I have 6 days at the middle and I want to visit both Yoshino and a bit of Tohoku - Fukushima & Sendai. Is such itinerary doable, in your opinion, or is it WAY too much?
8.4- Leave Tokyo, Arrive to Nara/Asuka at about 12 noon, sleep there 9 Yoshino mountain, sleep in Osaka 10 Kyoto until 19:00, then back to Tokyo 11 Fukushima 12 Sendai and back to Tokyo at evening 13 Kawaguchiko 14,15,16 - Tokyo

I don't know if you've booked everything, but it would sure make more sense to start at one end (either Kyoto or Sendai, and then work the other way, rather than having a few whirlwind days. I think your plan is possible, you just won't have a lot of time to enjoy yourself, especially if you are changing hotels so often.
If you went with your current plan, I would stay in Nara both nights, so you don't wast time trading hotels to Osaka. For the same reason, I would go right from Kyoto to Sendai or Fukushima, without stopping a night in Tokyo. (It's only 90 minutes more). Sendai and Fukushima are only a half hour apart on Shinkansen, so doesn't seem worth trading hotels. Just stay in one or the other and ride a tiny bit to visit the other.

Just a thought, if it is possible for you to have flights arriving at KIX and departing from NRT? Would save you a wee bit of time and "dough".
