Connect TV antenna to wall outlets 2018/3/26 14:57
Hello!

I just moved to an apartment building and the TV antenna outlet has two plugs (??) that seem to be are supposed to be from two antenna cables for the TV.

Someone gave me an older (2003) Panasonic TH-26lx20 TV and I have been trying to connect it to the wall antenna outlets for days, unsuccessfully.
The television is digital but since it is 2003, it also has analog.

This TV has apparently two (or three???) places that can be connected to the antenna... onto the two thingies in my wall.

I received an antenna cable but it has one plug only in each side of it.

The TV has a red B-CAS card inserted into it.

I think I have the wrong cable... do I need a cable with more plugs in each side?

My building is from last year so since it is a new building it does have an antenna for the residents but since it will be my first time hooking a TV here in Japan, I have no idea what to do and nobody to help me in person.

I am so confused and frustrated and I am hoping someone here can kindly assist me on this process.

I have searched here in the forum but still couldn't find an answer.

I have taken photographs of my wall antenna outlets and the back of my TV but it seems that I cannot post photographs here....

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

maybe your antena need antena converter.which you can buy from home centre.

1, take the picture of the plug and the antena .. just go to nearest home centre . go to tv area, watch the way the antenas are been connected or you show it to staff. they will teach you.

2, you search for your tv model on youtube or google how to connect antena . you will see the process.

or send your tv model here then we can research for you

From above link picture show the back portion of your Panasonic TH-26lx20 TV .

There are 3 connections for antenna“ό—Ν
1. VHF/UHF - that is for analog broadcast. No need to connect.
2.‚a‚rE‚P‚P‚O“x‚b‚rƒfƒWƒ^ƒ‹ - this is for satellite broadcast NHK BS. Connect this to wall outlet.
3. ’nγƒfƒWƒ^ƒ‹- This is for digital broadcast. Connect this to wall outlet.

Possible that the two wall outlet maybe for each Digital and BS110. No picture, so we can only guess.
So try connect your TV antenna 2 connection (‚a‚rE‚P‚P‚O“x‚b‚rƒfƒWƒ^ƒ‹ and ’nγƒfƒWƒ^ƒ‹) each to the wall antenna plugs. Try changing the connection if you can't get any signal.

There are some that may require a splitter cable (https://goo.gl/nPwLbU) since one outlet having both signal Digital and BS110. So you need a splitter cable to split the signal into your TV.

Red B-CAS card mean you can received both digital and BS 110 satellite broadcast. But you need to check whether your apartment have parabolic dish to received BS110.

In case the outlet is separate, Digital and BS110.

In case the outlet is both Digital and BS110, you need a splitter.

Owner's manual in PDF in case you want.

sorry. I jumped to a wrong conclusion just by looking page64 of the manual. the page 65 is the correct one.
you don't need to have a splitter (or separater) when you want to confirm the instrument works or not.
