Okinawa free & easy during the Golden Week

Hi,
I am planning a self drive free & easy 8d7n trip to Okinawa from 29 Apr to 6 May. However, it coincides with Japanfs Golden Week.
Can anyone advise if it will also be particularly busy at Okinawa, and the transportation & accomodation will be difficult to secure?
If so, we may have to defer our travel dates after the Golden Week is over...

IMO, it is better if you are able to travel after the Golden week.
