I heard that there is a shuttle bus from the station to Nara Park, Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Shrine. Do I have to pay a separate fee for the bus or I can just use my Kansai Thru Pass to ride the shuttle bus?

I see. But other trains and local buses in Nara can be used, right? About the Nara Kotsu, do I have to pay eveytime I ride or is there any 1 day pass sold?

I read at the website that I can buy the Nara Kotsu bus ticket at Kansai Airport. Is this true?

I was just there 2 days ago. (1) From Kintetsu Nara train station, it is walkable (if everybody in your party is healthy and able) to Nara Park. I recommend walking, because it's only one or two bus stops away and there is no need to wait for a bus, which can be too packed sometimes. (2) If you opt to take a bus, there is a special bus called Gurutto Bus (ぐるっとバス), which runs the popular tourism sites in a loop. The fare is 100 yen per ride (you can ride for free if you buy a day pass also), so if you just want to go from train station to one place and back, it is more economical than a day pass. http://www.nara-access-navi.com/season-bus/pdf/bus_guide.pdf
