Kurobe option ticket validity period

Hello
I wanto to buy the option ticket but im not sure about the validity period.
It says that its valid for 5 consecutive days.
Does it means its valid 5 days from the day i bought it?
I plan to use it on 20ish april but was going to buy it on 13th april (the day it start being sold)

No. I can't find official statement though it is said that you must buy it at least one day before use. It is sold, for example, at Narita airport, so the traveler should go somewhere before the Alpine route. So I think 7 day after purchase should be OK. Validity period for 5 days is after you start using it.

I believe they will ask what date you want when you purchase the Option Ticket. Itfs not an open-dated pass

So i just tell them what date im gonna be using the pass and its valid 5 days from the date i mentioned?
