Matsumoto train station questions 2018/4/17 11:33
We have 11 minutes between trains at Matsumoto Station. I've looked at the station map and am concerned about the distance from track 6 to track 1. We arrive from Shinano Omachi and leave Matsumoto for Nagoya. How far is it to walk from track 6 to track 1. Which end of the train should be at on the train from Shinano Omachi to get to the pedestrian bridge quickly to walk to track 1?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,.

It's not a very large station, nor overly crowded. 11 minutes is probably twice what you'll need, no matter what end of the train you are on. Just follow the signs when you get off and you'll be fine.

Plenty of time.
(Aren’t Shinano trains the ones that go from Nagoya to Nagano?)

No problem, but you do not have time to choose local wine.

Walk thin pink zone, no need ticket gate out. (also you can out, though)
This map (JR-East official) is used still old rail company name "Matsumoto Dentetsu (=Electric Railway)",
now "Alpico Kōtsū" fr 2011, line name "Kamikōchi Line" is not changed.

There is no English page, but you can read it with Google translate.

Summary :
Take a bording ticket when you get in, ticketing machines placed only mid door of 3.

This is not as dep station, but same just like this,

Date stamp "28" is Heisei 28 means 2016, now 2018 is Hesei 30(=30).

Payment of Kamikōchi Line's fare is done at the get off station, front car or ticket gate.

You can not exchange money other than 1000Y note.
http://doramon2001-03.c.blog.so-net.ne.jp/_images/blog/_9a5/doramon200...
Left colored in Blue is exchange insert coins (500,100 and 50Y) or 1000Y note,
Right in Red part is payment, will be opening the above mouth, very simple.
両替(ryogae) means "money exchange",
運賃(unchin) means "fare" or "fee",
乗車券(jousha-ken) means "ticket" (payment done in this train, not only for train),
整理券(seiri-ken) means "bording ticket" (payment will be later in this train).
This way is mostly same even in local buses, like this.

There are fewer, get on from front door and pay first.
