Sapporo-Furano/Biei Rail Ticket, May 2018

I am visitng Hokkaido in mid May and want to purchase the Sapporo-Furano/Biei Rail Ticket.

This "japan-guide.com" website still show the information for 2017 as follow:

"Useable from April 29 to October 31, 2017 (on sale until October 28), this ticket consists of a round trip by limited express train (unreserved seats) from Sapporo (or New Chitose Airport) to Furano or Asahikawa, and unlimited train travel along the JR Furano Line between Furano and Asahikawa. The ticket is valid for up to four consecutive calendar days and costs 6500 yen if used from Sapporo."

I am wondering where I can purchase the ticket for 2018. There is no information in the JR Hokkaido website.

From my understanding, you can purchase the following tickets online and pick them up from a JR East/JR Hokkaido office of your choosing.

I could not find the similar to 2017 rail ticket as such for furano/biei in the web link you suggested.
The closest one for 2018 is the discount ticket for Direction 3 with different prices for Asahikawa/Abashiri/Wakkanai.
Am I correct to select the Asahikawa for access to Furano?

Yes, that is correct.

If you want prices and different routes, I usually use HyperDia: http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ but you cannot buy tickets through this website.
