Can anyone recommend an itinerary to visit Tohoku in October 2018?
I have 2-1/2 days and will have a JR-Pass. I will leave from Tokyo area.
My main interest is temples, shrines, gardens, castles, and historical, cultural sites. I do not care for hiking or long walking.
I speak Japanese.

Way too many places to suggest - pick any of a dozen destinations (you only need one to fill 2 1/2 days). Sendai is close to Tokyo and has enough to fill all that time (and more).
