Onsen day trip from Sendai?

hi, anyone have any recommendations for a nice onsen day trip i can do from sendai? last year i stopped by ichinobo on my way to Tokyo from Sendai. would like to do something similar on my way down to Tokyo, but open to detours for a nice onsen! thanks!

Sendai has a onsen area and it is okay but nowadays they have put bus services in place from Sendai to Hanamaki for the tourists who want to enjoy the better onsen experience. Have a look at Hanamaki, it is north from Sendai but worth the detour.

I would recommend Tokinenoyado Yunushiichijoh in Shiroishi.
