What is the meaning of this sentence?

Hello guys,
Can someone translate this sentence for me? A friend of mine texted me this during a conversation.
本当に半年間、ありがとうございました! Me-OPと会えて、とても楽しい半年間をおくれました。
What I could understand is: "Thanks for the last half of the year. I was able to meet you, and given a fun half of the year." Is that right? It sounds pretty strange to me, but I guess it makes sense in Japanese...

Something like: "Thank you very much for (your friendship/everything) during the past six months. Thanks to you/because I was able to meet you, I enjoyed myself very much during the past six months."
That "given" part is a complete mis-interpretation.
