Getting and Leaving Koyasan

We would like to travel from Kyoto to Koyasan, stay one night and then continue to Hiroshima.
I understand that the JR pass does not cover some of the way.
1)
Can you suggest the cheapest way to arrive Kyasan from Kyoto?
and Leave at the next day to Hiroshima?
2)
Inside Koyasan, is everything in walk distance? or should we have bus pass again?

Just get a world heritage pass, explained in the Koyasan section of this website.
