Alpine route and back in one day

I Will arrive to Tateyama Station by my rental car, and I'd like to know if I can do Alpine route and back to Tateyama Station in the same day. And how long does it take? Because maybe the back route won�Lt be posible cause of the transport timetable.

Yes, you can, and I recommend you start traveling around 6 am.
So you can spend enough time at Murodo and Kurobe Dam.

I wonder where you would travel to. Will your destination be Murodo, or Kurobe Dam?
Even you go to Kurobe Dam, You can go there and back to Tateyama in the same day.

You must go back to Toyama and then Tateyama.

I am not sure whether the parking lot in Tateyama is still open. You might better park your car at around Toyama station.

Or you can do the round trip from Tateyama station to Murodo. Murodo is the highest point of the Alpine Route and definitely the best place in the Alpine Route.
