Hokkaido late June self drive 2018/6/14 17:38
Hi,

I am finalising my itinerary for Hokkaido Self Drive from 22/6 to 2/7. Will appreciate if anyone can give feedback on it for enhancement.

Day 1 - Arrival at New Chitose Airport at 0835. Pick up rental car and drive to Furano. Plan to use Expwy Chitose IC - Mikasa IC. Duration 2hrs 15min.
Day 2 - Furano/ Biei
Day 3- Furano to Tomamu as wish to view the Unkai Terrace. Not sure what is the chances to view.
Day 4 - From Tomamu to Noboribetsu. Plan to stop over at Tomakomai for lunch.
Day 5 - Hell Valley at Noboribetsu. Stop over at Muroran. Continue to drive to Lake Toya.
Day 6 - Lake Toya
Day 7 - Lake Toya to Sapporo
Day 8 - Sapporo
Day 9- Side trip to Otaru
Day 10 - Sapporo
Day 11 - leaving sapporo

Would appreciate if anyone can advise on the itinerary in term of time, flow and worthiness. As I checked the weather recently, the weather seem still quite cold for Summer and lots of rain. Just wondering will the temperature increase by end June and is the flower farm at Furano blooming?

Thank you.

Around Biei there are some nice onsen areas and the Aoi-ike (Blue pond); as I found it easy to cover a lot of distance in Hokkaido by car, even in winter, don't hesitate to spread out and cover other areas for the week and a half you plan on going.
