Haneda very late arrival: nightbus? 2018/6/22 22:03
Hello,

On August 2nd, I will arrive at Haneda Airport at 2 AM or 2h50 AM in the morning (flight BC 732 or BC 070, not decided yet).
According to the Airport's website, the last nightbus leaves at 2h20 AM, so I'm probably going to miss it.

But when I use Hyperdia, they say there are several nightbuses from Haneda (Domestic Terminal) to Yokohama Station, departing at 3h39 AM, 3h59 AM, etc. (cost: 580 JPY).
What company does operate these bus? Where can I find a confirmation that these schedules are firm?

Thank you!

I think you had better plan on using a taxi or waiting until about 6am for train to start.

Sorry Firas,

can you specify the timetable of the operating company? I can't find one other than this Hyperdia result. For example Navitime does not show anything about the 580 yen bus.

The thing is, Hyperdia does not show the buses OP is saying it does.

OK, I see. But I am still suspicious whether even the 2:05 bus is running.

Re: Haneda very early arrival: bus? 2018/6/23 16:41
HyperDia says the "2:05 bus" result is not based on a time table.
(It should be better not to show such a non-existent bus.)

According to the Airport's website, the last nightbus leaves at 2h20 AM

What is your source?
Where exactly is your first destination after Haneda Airport?

The earliest two buses heading to Yokohama Station
are scheduled to start at 5:15 and 5:45 from International Terminal,
and they do not make a stop by (Domestic) Terminal 1 or 2.
http://hnd-bus.com/airport/h-yokohama/

Domestic flights by Skymark Airlines use Terminal 1 in Haneda Airport.

Logically it sounds doable for you
to take the 5:00 free bus
from Terminal 1 Bus Stop #8 for about 5 minutes
to International Terminal Bus Stop #0,
hurry to Bus Stop #7
and catch the 5:15 bus heading to Yokohama Station.
(Practicality that can be too tight when you carry luggage.)

- Map of bus stops in Haneda Airport International Terminal

You can wait until the 6:25 bus departing from Terminal 1,
but there are railway options for you to reach Yokohama Station much earlier.

Thank you for your help.
The buses I was talking about appears here:

http://www.hyperdia.com/en/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=HANEDA%20AIRPOR...

The 2h20 AM bus appears here:

http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/access/bus.html

I don't have a specific destination, I just have one day left at Tokyo before flying back to Europe at 18 PM the same day (from Narita). I plan to find an Internet Cafe to finish the night somewhere.

Hyperdia doesnft actually have bus schedules, as they note in red text in the results.

Taxis run 24hrs, or monorail train starts at 5:13 it looks like

Note that Skymark announces you can't stay overnight at the Haneda domestic terminal.

http://www.skymark.co.jp/en/access/hnd.html

There are some Japanese blog about the 2:00 Skymark flight. They say that there are no public transport even to the international terminal. So your options should be:

Go out of the domestic terminal and take taxi to somewhere. Taxi to international terminal costs 1000-2000 yen. Maybe you can share with someone.
Go out of the domestic terminal and walk (40-60 min, but you may be lost easily) to the international terminal which is open 24 hrs.
Stay at a hotel in the domestic terminal 1 (First Cabin Haneda Domestic Terminal 1).

https://first-cabin.jp/en/hotels/15

As far as I know there are no Internet cafe just outside of the airport.

Thank you. Do you know what will be the taxi's price between Haneda Domestic Terminal and Kamata?

You can always spend a night at heiwajima onsen, they have free shuttle service from both terminal at various times early in the morning.

@kms899

Excellent advice, thank you!
According to their website, they have buses at 3 AM and 5h40 AM.
If I understand correctly, the package (bath entrance + Shuttle bus + Breakfast) is 3500 Y with the 3 AM bus (3200 Y if you arrive with a Skymark flight), or 2200 Y with the 5h40 AM bus, right?

Re: Haneda very late arrival: nightbus? 2018/6/25 21:48
I am afraid they don't offer the shuttle bus to/from the domestic terminal between 10 pm and 4 am so you need to take taxi to the International terminal and book the shuttle bus.

Buses departing between 10 pm and 4 am go to the International Passenger Terminal only.
Buses departing between 4:50 am and 7:10 am go to both the International and Domestic Passenger Terminals.

They don't seem to mention the bus from the airport, but when you "book online" they show only the bus from the international terminal.

Re: Haneda very late arrival: nightbus? 2018/6/25 21:56
Slight problem...

Per Skymark's flyer (https://www.heiwajima-onsen.jp/media/files/2017-0404-skymark.pdf), the bus departs from Domestic Terminal 1 at 2h30 AM (which, BTW, is too late for flight 070, an additional flight durung peak periods) and 5h55 AM.
Per Heiwajima Onsen's website, the bus departs from International Terminal at 3 AM and 5h40 AM.
Arrival time at the Onsen differs.

Do yo think it's the same bus (who does a circuit), two different buses, or one of the two documents is outdated?

Yes. I am afraid the PDF might be outdated, but it is also possible they offer the bus from domestic terminal. I think you should contact with the Heiwajima onsen. And keep in mind you can use the First Cabin which is 5000 yen and you can lie flat.

Re: Haneda very late arrival: nightbus? 2018/6/25 22:32
Keikyu is the bus service they use, can't tell you if there are two different buses, if you arrive at 2am, you should be ok, as for the arrival at 2:50, you probably have problem with that, as frog has said, use the first cabin capsule hotel, it isn't expensive and it's problem free.

Thank you for all your answers! The Onsen Package looks very appealing, I'll probably choose it.
I'll try to contact Heiwajima Onsen to confirm the shuttle bus' schedule & departure location. Unfortunately, they don't have an e-mail address, so I guess I will have to call them and gambarize with my very bad japanse if they answer the call in japanese ;-)

Re: another way to get to Tokyo 2018/6/25 23:33
Personally I see no reason to have a flight of arrival at such very inconvenient time.

A foreign Japan visitor can travel by ANA or JAL at a discount price (around 11000 yen) from New Chitose [CTS] to Haneda [HND].
https://www.ana.co.jp/en/ph/promotions/share/experience_jp/
https://www.world.jal.co.jp/world/en/japan_explorer_pass/lp/

It seems the latest arrival at HND is scheduled at either 23:00 or 23:30.
So, you probably can catch
a free bus for the international terminal,
a Tokyo Monorail train for Monorail Hamamatsucho
or a Keikyu train for Shinagawa.
