3 days for Kurobe gorge and Alpine Route

Hi all,
I will be traveling in September from kyoto to kurobe gorge & tateyama alpine route & then to tokyo.
Planning to stay 2 nights for easy access to both the alpine route & kurobe gorge.
Will not be getting a JR pass.
1. Please advise if there is an overnight bus or what is the best route to take from kyoto.
2. Any recommendation on where to stay? (kanazawa or toyama)

For Kurobe gorge, my recommendation is to stay overnight at Unazuki onsen. You then can catch the earliest Torokko train and have ample time to explore the areas.

Thank you, Ifll look around unazuki onsen.
Any idea what to explore in Kanazawa? As Ifll be staying there before traversing the tateyama alpine route.
