Hakone or Fuji Five Lakes 2018/7/15 20:57
Hi Experts,

I am in the planning of my last leg in Japan visit. I have three nights explore mount Fuji area. We will be traveling from Tokyo to Osaka. We have 10 year old daughter with us. Want to experience the culture, explore the region, and see the nice views.

What is your recommendation? Stay in Hakone and do a day trip to Kawaguchiko or Stay around Kawaguchiko?

Your advice greatly appreciated.

Go to or stay at Odawara, then do the Hakone Circuit. Try to include the Open Air Museum, which is along the way. The llittle train that you would use to get to the ropeway allows you to get off. look around and get back on a later one. It's quite easy to do and less complicated than the website suggests.

If weather allows, you will get good views of Fuji, or bits of it. It is VERY big.
