SOFA Non-US passport maiden name 2018/8/4 07:40
Hi guys,

I'm a non-U.S. citizen with a non-U.S. travel passport that still has my maiden name in it.
My spouse is stationed in Japan on accompanied orders, so myself and our child are listed on the official orders but due to some family circumstances, my husband went to Japan first, and we were going to join him later. Well, now it looks like currently we are only able to visit for a short time (10 days at most).
Now, I have a question, since my last names are different in my passport and on my orders/military ID, would I be able to obtain a SOFA stamp at the airport on arrival considering I still have my maiden name in my passport?
Would be interesting to know, if anyone experienced any problems with obtaining a SOFA stamp on arrival.
Thank you in advance.
