1 day trip to the Alpine route

I will be traveling to Japan next month. How can I take a 1 day trip to the Alpine route from Kanazawa and finish it in Toyama? thank you!

Kanazawa - (train) - Toyama - (Alpine Route) - as far as you want to go along the Alpine Route - (backtrack along the Alpine Route) - Toyama

Transportation on the Alpine Route
is available until the evening, but not in the night.
I suggest you finish the Alpine Route at Ogizawa then head to Toyama.
You can leave Ogizawa in the evening and get to Toyama before midnight.
