COE expiration

Hello,
i have a COE that has a date of 6-22-2018, and it was reissued because of wrong spelling of my name. and i got it by 8-25-2018. But the date of my reissued COE is same as in the wrong spelling (6-22-2018). i have already approved visa that issued in 8-30-2018
Now my question is, Can i enter in japan on 10-2-2018? or i can't, because of expired COE? *I asked already the Japan Embassy here in philippines, and they said the 3 months expiration of COE will be for applying the visa and not when you enter in japan*
i was so confused because i read the policy in the website of japan immigration states that: The Certificate of Eligibility is effective for three months. In this sense, if you fail to apply for landing Japan within three months after receiving the certificate, the certificate will naturally expire. (Note) It should be noted that the effective period of the Certificate of Eligibility is different from that of your visa.
and this forum also said that it needed to land in japan after the 3 months expiration of COE. Please help me thanks!

If you've received your visa, and it sounds like you have, you have the limitations of the visa to enter Japan, and not the COE.

The above poster gave wrong info. At the time of your entry BOTH CoE and visa should be valid
I have known cases where someone tried to enter with expired Coe and was deported back
Best is to reapply for Coe, it should come back in a short time and get a new visa

You use the CoE to get the visa, it is not a travel document or related to status of residency. Once you have the visa (status of residence), you don't need a CoE - it becomes redundant.
Maybe the other poster failed to explain why their friends were deported - might be nothing to do with coe issues.

The COE is relevant to your landing permission, entry to Japan. You will need to submit/show both your Visa and COE to the immigration officer at port of entry, thus both Visa and COE have to be valid, not expired. Looking at COE sample, http://wineplanks.com/wp-content/uploads/certificate-eligibility-japan...kindly note Notice No.2 : This certificate should be submitted to an Immigration Inspector with an entry visa for the landing permission at the port of entry, and shall cease to be valid if the application for landing permission is not field within 3 months from the date of issue. So you should confirm with your company again, ask them to double check with Immigration. Or move your entry date earlier.

Rather than some random internet site, best always to go to an official Japanese Government site like http://www.immi-moj.go.jp/english/tetuduki/kanri/visa.htmlBased on my research when I first looked at getting a status of residence, I was looking at the CoE to assist getting a visa. I had no intention on presenting it when arriving. It is clear the language in the attached link that the CoE is optional, and even the japan embassy in my home country noted it was option when applying for a visa. The relevant piece being " said Minister can issue a certificate stating such". It didn't help in my case that I knew more about the process than the staff trying to help me. I my case I followed a different route and obtained my CoE here in Japan and then had my visa (status of residence) granted after that. And, this moth am resubmitting documents for renewal time again - but I use specialist immigration lawyers for that.
