Can anyone recommend what pass should i buy to minimise my cost ? You can travel between Namba and Kyoto Stations,
by Osaka Metro and JR, at 790 yen per way;
no pass seems recommendable for it.

At Osaka Station, before making a transfer to JR,

On your way back from Kyoto, you can make a Nara side trip.
