Tokyo - miso paste shop 2018/9/2 19:06
Hi.
Are there any recommended shops in central Tokyo specialising in selling all kinds of good miso ?
Ones where locals may go to.
Less keen to get from department stores.
Thanks.

I don't know why you have an aversion to department stores - they often have a good selection of gourmet versions of ingredients like miso (and drinks like umeshu). For ordinary miso, most people would just go to their local supermarket.

Anyway, here's a miso specialty shop in Kichijoji called Soybean Farm: http://www.bento.com/rev/1113.html

You never bothered to thank those who already helped you in your other thread. Why post if you don't read the answers from people who already took the time to help you?

Refusing to deal with some of the best department stores in the world severely limits your opportunities to get what you want.

Thanks Umami Dearest for the link.
The shop certainly looks v interesting; will try to go there.
Anyone has also been to this shop (http://www.tokyomiso.or.jp/ten_03_manq.html) recently ?
Wondering how it is.
Thanks.
