Earthquake in Hokkaido - Is Ferry operating

Hi
My son is currently in Hokkaido.
He has a Ferry from Tomakomai to Sendai tomorrow.
He is trying to check if the ferry is operating normally and if the roads leading to the ferry from Obihiro are opened ?
He could not find any help from locals around him as they do not speak English.
Thanks for any local who can check on it
