Does anyone know where in Japan this is? 2018/9/26 16:33
I know this picture size and view my be a bit vague and small so I don't expect that it may be possible to locate where this is at, but I looked very closely at the details of the buildings seen behind the trees and the orange street mirror on the right hand side and this looks like somewhere in Japan, unfortunately the person who put this on tumblr did not credit who and where this photo is from. It appears to be a city park that is on an elevated hill, and looks like a good place to view autumn leafs.

Ah. It looks like my work must have been blocking it as both links open for me at home. However as you say, that could be anywhere. Sorry I can't be of more help.

It has been a long time since I was there but for some reason it made me think of the path outside Kenrokuen in Kanazawa. But it has been several years since I was at Kanazawa, I might be confusing it with something else.

The orange mirror is not only used in Japan.
There are no other reference points

You can check the link below and try to search

I agree it could be anywhere - there are thousands of locations across Japan that provide good autumn leaf viewing on the right day. Recreating that identical image would need every thing to be right, and like cherry blossom season, there is lots of variety in autumn colour/leaf viewing season too.

The image source appears to be http://dryyoureyes-startbelieving.tumblr.com/post/99953090034 and there is also a reference at http://kulturadogorynogami.pl/author/justynak/page/2/ (from Poland).

I also saw a description that it may have been from a university in Korea.

I am not sure where this is, but the most trees seen seem to be Keyaki.

Keyaki is quite common in Japan (and maybe in some east Asia) so this can be anywhere. And right side tree with red leaves might be Kaede or Maple.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maple

You can see both in Ueda castle, Nagano prefecture.

@Lazy Pious Yes I immediately thought of Kenrokuen & spent some time looking on streetview. Although as @Japancustomtours has said above it's probably in Korea. There is never a bad time to visit Kenrokuen so I would suggest that as an alternative to the OP.

Yes I'd have to say it does look a lot like places in Seoul, and I havent often see wooden benches on paths in Japan like that. That said, my recollection of Seoul is more from k-dramas than what I can remember when I was there!
