List or map of local hand crafts in Japan 2018/10/7 20:18
I know of quite a few handcrafts and their areas such as the Indigo dyeing in Tokushima, the lanterns in Odawara, pottery from Shigaraki, etc. I don't know what i don't know and can't find a good list or map so i can see if there are some that i can go and visit that will fit in with my itinerary.
Does anyone have or no of such a list or map?

Yakimono around Japan:

Kodansha's "Japan, A Bilingual Atlas" has maps of ceramic kilns, lacquerware areas, and textiles and dyeing areas toward the back of the book.

I made fans this Summer in Marugame. You don't design the paper that is used for the fan, but you do put the fan together yourself. We did it at the Uchiwa Fan museum, a short walk from the Station. We then went to Takamatsu.

Enjoy!
