10 000 yen note exchange question 2018/10/25 11:24
Hi there,

was wondering if 10 000 yen note =1000cad?

today i went to the money changer and i was changing 2000cad to 170,000.00 JPY.

In exchange, i got 17 10 000 yen note.
In that case was it 17 000 yen?

Just want to double check if i got scammed.

thanks

Many mistakes.

10 000 yen note =1000cad?
If this is the case I will exchange all my money to CAD

today i went to the money changer and i was changing 2000cad to 170,000.00 JPY.

In exchange, i got 17 10 000 yen note.
In that case was it 17 000 yen?
Even if you don't use calculator you will see that the sum is different

there are website with conversion course to give an idea about the exchange rate

I regret clicking on this thread first thing in the morning.... if 1000 cad was only worth 10000 yen you'd only have 20000, not 170000 (17 x 10000) yen. Did you get ripped off? No. If you'd been in charge of the transaction you wound have been though.

Seems reasonable - 2000CAD = 171,728 yen at mid-rate. Note, exchanging currency you don't get mid-rates.
