4 nights in Tohoku in late April

We have 3 and half days(4 nights) in Tohoku 27th to 30th April, Will be coming down from Nagano.
We are hoping to see Cherry blossoms in the area . Plan is to take Morning train from Nagano to Hirosaki via Omiya Saitō. And spend 2 nights there. Explore Hirosaki Castle, what else can we see in the area? More Cherry blossoms Ashino Park , Nebuta house museum, Lake Towada?
For next two days we are either planning to spend with in in Nyuto Onsen with day trips to Kakunodate and Kitakami. Hoping to see Cherry blossoms in Akita/Iwate for a day and next day Onsen hopping in Nyuto Onsens.
Or base ourselves in Morioka and do day trips. We can rent a car in Morioka or Tazawako?
Will head to Tokyo afterwards.

If you are looking for hotels in Hirosaki from 27th to 29th April it will be very tough. You should know Hirosaki is a small city and tourists are concentrated very small time frame of cherry blossom season. As a result the hotel fare is very high in Hirosaki, maybe 3-4 times more expensive (15000 to 30000 yen per person per night I think). So you might better consider staying nearby place like Aomori.
