Nyuto onsen or Kurokawa onsen? 2018/12/7 00:53
Next Autumn I will be in the Tohoku and Kyushu regions and I just can't decide if I should visit Nyuto onsen or Kurokawa onsen?

I havent been to Nyuto Onsen but I spent 3 days at Kurokawa onsen. The water is nice and the area is very pleasant but out of the baths there isnt much to do. Personally I'd spend a night in each, if time permitted.

I have been to both and both are nice but also quite different. In Kurokawa Onsen you have a nice small village and Yamamizuki is probably one of the best onsen ever. Nyuto onsen is less of a village and more single onsen. I canft really explain but that t feels just slightly different. Plus you have tazawako really close by so you can do also some sightseeing.

As PP said, I would go to both. They are both nice and not comparable.

Enjoy your trip to Japan!
