Airport transfers 2019/1/16 15:28
Hi, we are trying to work out the best way to get from Narita airport to our accommodation (#1 Ibis Tokyo Shinjuku). We will need to return to the airport within 2 weeks.

We will then need to get from Narita airport to another hotel (#2 APA HOTEL Asakusa) and we will return to the airport a week later.

From what I can see, the Skyliner could be a better option for #1 and Sky Access for #2 but we are a little confused. We would like to keep costs fairly low but we are also mindful of having minimal travel time (up to 1.5 hours each way is fine). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hotel websites usually list access options, especially to/from airports. Check there.

NRT is located about 60km far east of mid Tokyo, but no "Shinkansen" tracks.
So the fastest transportation is the "SKYLINER(160km/h max)" of Keisei, but not so expensive.

However, last stop is not Shinjuku, need one tranfer at Nippori to JR Yamanote line via Ikebukuro.

JR Yamanote line is one of commuter train, and the most operated route in Japan.

If you really need savings, take a cheap bus to Tokyo station, then take JR Chuo line train(rapid).

There is a direct airport limo bus for Shinjuku, but this is not cheap as total, just most convenient.

However, also you can search at "NRT" web.

If it were me I'd be doing the Narita Express to Shinjuku, 1.5hr and return Y4000 (14 day tourist discount fare), its convenient and direct, and for Asakasa, the Keisei Line from terminal 2 Access Express direct to Asakasa. However it possibly depends which Asakasa APA you are staying at, as there seems to be several in different places
