Would it be worth buying the Japan Rail Pass 2019/1/28 06:44
Hello, we are ending our 7 day tour at Osaka then we have reservation at Wafu No yada in Yamanouchi for one night then heading back to Shinjuku. Staying at Shinjuku for 3 days then catching our flight at Narita Airport. Should we buy the JR pass for 7 days for this iterinary?

No - simple one-way trip. To make the 7-day pass pay-off you need to do approximately 1,000 km of shinkansen travel (more if non-shinkansen).

The Japan Rail Pass only pays off if you have in mind traveling quite a lot (for example, on day trips to different Japanese locations). If at the end you want to do two-day trips from Osaka, then it could work for you. If you still have doubts, I found on this website a post about what the JR Pass offers:
