Passport application for child

I had my child registered in my family registry soon after she was born when I had Japanese citizenship. Since then I became a national of another country which I understand means I have theoretically relinquished citizenship.
Now I am considering getting a Japanese passport for my daughter. Would this be possible?

since you was a Japanese, you can ask Japanese Embassy in your country.
