Becoming an ALT as a Japanese citizen?

Hello all! I've scoured the whole of the internet and I haven't been able to find an answer to this, so hopefully I can get some help here!
I am lucky enough to have dual nationality (American and Japanese) and currently live in the United States. I am finishing up high school in a few months, and am looking at teaching jobs as an ALT in the future. I've read that a bachelor's degree is needed to obtain a working visa as an ALT, but as someone who doesn't need a working visa, would I be able to land a position as an ALT after completing a two year college and obtaining an associates degree? I read that it might be possible to become an ALT with an associates degree through privately hiring cities, but don't know anything definite. Thanks much!
