BA needed for job offer?

So basically, i am doing an internship in Japan right now for a Design Company, my plan is to go back to my home country for a year and come back to work in Japan for a year and a half. My boss and i are currently in talks but he might allow me to actually work there instead of just an internship. Do i need a bachelor for a possible visa sponsorship? Or is that not needed. I tried looking up artist visa but it doesnt seem like it specifically needs a bachelor degree.

It's true that "Artist" status does not require a Bachelor's (or any other specific qualification), but it's not clear that it would apply to a design job.
