How to work as a vet in Japan? 2019/3/29 10:16
Hello, I'm currently a veterinary student in the US and I will graduate in 2022. I'm half Japanese and speak Japanese fluently, albeit not very good at formal Japanese or medical lingo. My plan is to most likely specialize, but my dream is to get certified in Japan too so I can practice in Japan as half my family live there. Does anyone know what the path to getting certified as a veterinarian in Japan is? Will I need a work visa if I have a Japanese passport?

Try to see the logic here.

You have Japanese passport, technically you are Japanese national.

So logically, do you think Japanese national need working visa to work in Japan?

Read this, about procedure dor overseas qualified/graduate vet to take national examination.
