Travel to and in Kiso valley

After visiting Hiroshima, we want to visit the Kiso Valley and Japan Alps.
What's the easiest way tot travel by train ( JR pass) from Hiroshima to Magome?
We want to stay a night in Magome and then do the trail to Tsumago by walking.
After we walk ( half day) we want to travel to Matsumoto. How can we reach Matsumot from Tsumago?
And what we the luggage ( because we can not hike with our luggage)

just ask hyperdia (hyperdia.com)
how to reach matsumoto:
there is a direct train from Tsumago to Matsumoto Station, so very easy. just look hyperdia for the times in order not to miss them (about every 2nd hour).
about luggage: you can forward your luggage from tourist office to tourist office for a very little fee in Magome and Tsumago
