Train travel Kansai region 2019/7/24 09:08
We are a couple arriving Osaka Kansai airport 5 September train to Osaka-Tennoji, 8 September train Osaka-Tennoji to Kii-Tanabe (Kumano Kodo) , 13 September train Kii-Katsuura to Osaka-Tennoji, 14 September Osaka-Tennoji to Kansai airport, 20 September train Osaka Int-Itami to Kyoto, 25 September train Kyoto to Osaka-Kansai airport. So it is travel spread over 18 days. Is there a special ticket we can get to cover all these travels? Is it restricted to a particular train operator? Would a JR west card cover all these routes?
Thanks!

You may want to look at here even though I dont think you can get the regional pass to cover the entire 18 days. https://touristpass.jp/en/ise_kumano/

You have big long stays at each place and not much actual travel. Hover, what are you doing once you get to those places. If you are sitting in a hotel for long stretches then it is unlikely there is a pass for you.
For instance, in Kyoto, are you doing any sightseeing? Nara, Hikone, Arashiyama - different companies cover different routes to access these places, but some of the Kansai pass offerings from JR West can help sometimes.

Hi!

Depending on where in Kyoto you are trying to get to from Itami I would highly recommend the limo bus. We flew into Itami and took the limo bus and it was easier and didn't involve any transfers. It was not terribly expensive either.

On the 13th you could just go to Wakayama and travel from there to KIX. It's not all that far.

Good luck!

Thank you all for suggestions. In all destinations we will walk a lot, explore less touristy suburbs temples and gardens. Meet people and try local food. Most of all we want to engage with any Ukulele clubs and Linedance classes! We'll be in: Osaka 5-8 September, walking Nakahechi route - Kumano Kodo 8-13, Naha, Okinawa 14-20, Kyoto 20-25 September. So we will use the occasional train, but as you say, a pass is no use for us. Any Uke players or Boot Scooters you know in these locations? Much appreciated!
