Kansai Thru Pass- clarification

Hi,
I'm trying to understand whether it worth buying the Kansai Thru Pass or not.
We plan 3 days :
Day 1- travel from Kyoto to Nara and back to Osaka.
Day 2-travel from Osaka to Mount koya and back
Day 3- travel from Osaka to Himeji and back
Also, does it worth in terms of the travel time as it is not includes the JR trains?

To Nara - about same travel time. But you arrive at a station 1km closer, so maybe quicker in that sense.
To Koyasan - JR only goes half way. So quicker with non JR.
To Himeji - quicker by JR shinkansen, but that is a much more expensive option.
