Enter Japan as temp visitor after COE issued? 2019/8/22 17:23
Hello, I hope someone will be able to answer my question.

I recently received my certificate of eligibilty for a work visa but I have plans to visit Japan on a temporary visitor/tourist visa with my family before I begin work there. I'm from the UK and am a British Citizen.

To put it simply, I would like to go to Japan on a temporary visitor visa to sightsee, then come back to the UK and complete the COE/visa application and then return to Japan to finally begin work. This would all be done before the COE expires.

Would this be possible now that the COE has already been issued or do I have to finish the COE/visa application process before I enter Japan again?

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Therefs no problem at all. You can enter, leave and finish your visa procedures.

Is your visa already in your passport???

If yes, it might need some explaining why you donft use it. If no, I donft see a problem in your plan either.
