Question about the Validity and Stay

I'll be living in Kyoto for 1 Year under Student Visa.
I just want to ask about the expiry which is indicated in the Visa with this scenario.
Example: Date of Issue: 12 Sept 19 Date of Expiry: 12 Dec 19
In this case I have to go to Japan before the expiry, but what if I go to Japan in October and then went home to my home country in around 1st week of December and stay for about a month before returning back to Japan.
Can I still go back to Japan even after the expiry date knowing that I'm already in Japan around October to November?

A visa is a document that allows you to get a status of residence. It is not a document that allows you to stay in Japan. If you use your visa to enter Japan in October, then you will receive your status of residence and the visa will become invalid. Afterwards, you are free to enter and leave Japan at will during the validity of your residence status.
