How to get Nikko from Shinjuku using JR pass

I would like to visit:
Toshogu shine
Shin Kyo Bridge
Kegon Falls
Chujen zi lake
Could someone please tell me what is the best way to get to those places from Shinjuku? I'm not sure where I should start? I appreciate all your help. Thank you.

With JR pass you have to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo or Ueno Station to Utsonomiya. Then transfer to the local Nikko line. It takes about 2 hours total.

There is a bus in Nikko that will take you to all the locations you list. You can get a pass for it right at the train station and the bus stop is right out front. People will be lining up, you can't miss it.

From Shinjuku, take the train to Omiya and then transfer to the shinkansen to Utsunomia, then the Nikko line.
Slightly faster than going to Tokyo to catch the train, and the Shinjuku to Tokyo piece would be much more crowded.
