Tickets for Shin Kurobe to Unazuki Onsen

Hi,

I plan to go to Kurobe Gorge and i will be coming departing from Shin Korube station to Unazuki Onsen. A search on Hyperdia tells me that I can take Toyama Chiho Railway Main Line. From google maps, it seems like Shin Kurobe is an open train station without any gates. May I ask how do I purchase the tickets for this trip to Unazuki Onsen? Can I also buy the return tickets as well? I have a JR pass but I suppose this leg is not covered by it.

The old-fashioned way at the ticket machine. IC cards, such as Suica, cannot be used.

It may be possible, but could be complicated. You can buy the return ticket easily at Unazuki Onsen Station.

I don�ft remember, if there were English instructions, but there was also a station attendant when I was there. Otherwise just ask someone else. But I would guess it is pretty likely that the instructions are in English.

Not sure how much has changed since 4 years ago, I remembered paying the fare at Unazukionsen Station upon exiting.
