Magoemon or Choyomon (Ainokura)?

Hi - am after thoughts and opinions on Ainokura and Shirakawago please.
Ifm currently tossing up between a stay in Choyomon gassho in Ainokura vs. Magoemon in Shirakawago (in winter). Has anyone stayed at either and can provide thoughts? Ifm aware Magoemon is the biggest and most popular - yet it is also about double the price of Choyomon so just want to see if Ifm just paying for the desirability or is there more to it?
Ifll be visiting both over two days regardless so question is about the choice of accommodation rather than the sightseeing aspect.

I havenft stayed at either, BUT Ainokura is the nicer, less touristy place. The only problem might be transport in winter. The road is winding so youfll need some time. So if you have sufficient time to make this a relaxed trip, I would choose an accommodation in Ainokura.
