How to prepare for MEXT Scholarship?

Dear Readers,
My son would like to submit his MEXT application next year. His interests area is Aeronautical Engineering but when i read the subjects under Natural sciences, I did not see this option. If anyone of you know how to go about it, will you please help and guide me.
Also, if someone can highlight the practical steps needed to prepare from today until the date he is granted this scholarship, i will really appreciate and also with tips on where to find the books for preparation for the MEXT undergraduate scholarship exam and inerview.
