Hi,
I am planning to drive from Kusatsu to Shiga Kogen/Yamanouchi in mid-November via Route 292. However, I have noticed on Google Maps that the section from Mt Shirane to Shiga Kogen might be closed until Nov 30 due to the effects of the recent typhoon. I tried checking on various tourism/traffic websites but could not find any mention of this.
Could anyone advise if the road will be passable? Thanks.

Route 292 closes for the winter from November 5, 2019.
