Long term luggage storage

Hi y'all
In March I'll be heading to Japan to study for half a year. The semester begins in April though, so my plan is to travel from March to April before i settle in my student dorm. I want to travel lightly through Japan, with just a backpack. However this leaves me to wonder where i should put my luggage with all the things i'll bring with me to live in my dorm. Is there some service i can use to store my luggage for that month?

You can ask any Luggage storage employees, but it is costly.where is your university?

The university has multiple campuses in both Tokyo and Saitama, but anywhere around central Tokyo would be fine.
