We are planning a Winter Trip to japan in early Feb 2020. We would like to inquiry any other places of interest between Ashikaga Flower Park and Chichibu. We have 1 free day/night between these 2 places.
Appreciate your respond. Thank U

Nagatoro is a nice little town, a 20 minute train ride from chichibu. If you don't stay there overnight, perhaps you could visit there for a half day or less.

1) there is a very beautifully carved shrine in Kumagaya See at the bottom of this page: https://www.japanvisitor.com/japan-city-guides/kumagaya2) in Gyoda there is a reconstructed castle. Small but nice to look at. I was there right on a day when there was a cosplay event. See description in my post at the bottom. 3) close to Gyoda there is a historic park with burial mounts and a key hole burial: Sakitama Kofun Group ほか Sakitama, Gyoda, Saitama 361-0025, Japan +81 48-559-1111 https://goo.gl/maps/aQodC9fifhf4B1uP74) as PP said there is Nagatoro with a nice shrine (but not as special as the one in Kumagaya IMHO) 5) in Chichibu ourself I like most the temples around Urayamaguchi. There are like 4 and each one is quite different. The most spectacular one being # 28, Hashidatedo. (I am not posting the link to the picture as I personally prefer to see such nice places by surprise rather than on a picture. But you can find pictures on the internet. Here some impressions from a bike trip I did in The Valley: http://bicycletraveljapan.blogspot.com/2016/11/from-chichibu-down-into...Enjoy your trip to Japan!
