Heard about the damage to Hakone transport due to the typhoon. Is it still safe and convenient to visit the tourist areas using the Hakone Free Pass?

The only impact from the typhoon that can still be felt in Feb/Mar is the non-operation of the Hakone Tozan Railway. Everything else is open and back in service. There are substitute buses running instead of the Hakone Tozan Railway. The situation is summarized here: https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5200.htmlUnrelated to the typhoon, I recommend to visit Hakone on weekdays as opposed to the much more busy weekends and national holidays.
