Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass for this itinerary

My itinerary:
Jan 21, activate the Hiroshima Pass at KIX and leave for Biwako Lake in Otsu through Kyoto Station.
Jan 22, leaves Otsu for Hiroshima, can I take Nozomi or Mizuho at Kyoto Station to Hiroshima Station? Or I need to get to Shin-Osaka and take the train there to Hiroshima?
Jan 24, leaves Hiroshima to Nara, through Kyoto Station.
Jan 25, leaves Nara to Kyoto.

Yup pass will pay off.
Otsu to Hiroshima, Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka, not Kyoto.
Hiroshima to Nara, I'd go via Osaka.
