maybe after a few days, when you bring the documents to the city hall where Japanese's koseki is there. (when you bring the document to aother city hall, it takes longer, because they transfer the document to the city hall where the koseki is there.)
they may contact that person to confirm the divorce. when they do it, it takes longer.
why you need to hurry ?
the divorce will be recorded on the date when you took paperwork.

Thanks. Will be in Japan with my fiencee and her ex for a week trying to Get the divorce.
