Trainee and hit by a car 2020/3/21 16:37
I was hit by a car and currently on my 1 week yasumi today. I was told by kaisha that i can use yukyou for now, while waiting for the other party's insurance to actually pay me thru my kaisha payroll. I didnt have major bruise and wounds luckily, however minor pain is constant especially on my neck, shoulder and back part. Also i noticed i start to feel dizzy when i try riding a bike again. I am wearing graded eyeglass already. But the dizziness is quite different these days from the time i got bumped. Im not sure if this is just an after shock of what happened to me but i wanna have my eyes checked. Will this also be covered by the insurance? 😥

First thing to do is get yourself checkout at hospital/clinic. Those can be claimed from insurance.
Did you made police report with regards to the accident?
Did you get the car driver information/insurance detail?

Does the accident happen while commuting to/from work ?
What type of insurance do you have? Shakai hoken?
Are you also enroll in Workers’ accident compensation insurance (Rosai hoken) ?

It was in the morning from apartment, jitensha de, going to work.

I was rushed to the nearest hospital right after and there was also a police who asked me certain questions. Yes, im done with the medical check, xray and ct scan, however constant dizziness and body paind still exists. I also wanna have my eyes checked coz i suddenly experience dizziness when i ride my bike now. I find it unsafe. I dont think there is a formal police report as my kaisha negotiated with the victimizer and assured that my yasumi and hospital expenses will be paid. What happens if after a month or so, aftershock sickness occurs?

Is the Industrial Accident Insurance (Commuting Injury) different fron the victimizer's car insurance that is supposed to be paying me? Coz i was informed my absences and medical expenses will be paid by the other party anyway.

This is something you should be wary/careful. Unless you absolutely trust your kaisha to handle this properly. Have everything put down in writing/documentation so that you can refer to in case something related happened it in the future . Best consult with other person knowledgeable.

There are many reason why people try to settle it rather than involve the police, bad record on driving licence, insurance, compensation etc.

As for your dizziness, try have it check again, consult/follow-up with the previous doctor/hospital.

No idea. Check with your company HR.

since you already met a police officer, it is highly unlikely that police did not record the accident.
it seems that your employer also makes actions properly.
all you need to do is that tell them your sickness.
when you have any difficulty to communicate with others, tell your sickness to your employer. they will make necessary actions.

Just a question, how long will it take for the payment to the victimizer be settled by the insurance. Papers were signed 1 week after the accident. Hospitalization was done 1month after the accident. When will the victim gets paid by thr insurance company?
